MidAmerica Nazarene University is an intentionally Christian Community and desires that all employees in positions of leadership reflect a foundational Christian position in word, attitude and action. While there is no predetermined length or format for the Personal Statement of Faith, the norm is a one or two page narrative document describing the applicant’s central Christian beliefs, significant formative influences in the applicant’s Christian experience (e.g., religious experiences of conversion or the affirmation of one’s faith, one’s family and/or home life, spiritual aspirations), and ways in which the applicant’s faith is being demonstrated in daily patterns and practices.

MNU provides a variety of voluntary benefits for full-time employees.
A brief explanation of those benefits follow.
Health, vision and dental coverage is available for full time employees. Coverage is effective the first month following the first day of employment.
The University provides basic Life Insurance, basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D), and Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage.
The University provides disability leave for full time faculty and staff after one year of employment per the Short Term Disability Policy.
The University currently offers voluntary supplemental insurance available to faculty and staff.
Full time Staff and Faculty members may elect to participate in MNU’s retirement plans offered by the university on a pre- or post-tax basis upon employment.
Full time employees may elect to participate in a flexible Spending Account (FSA), or health plan option with health savings account (HSA)
The PTO plan includes leave time for reasons of vacation, personal leave, and sick leave for employees and family members.
Holiday hours represent compensated absences in addition to the PTO plan. MNU observes the following holidays:

Employees, spouses, and dependents are eligible for tuition remission per the tuition remission policy.
The University provides two days (16 hours) of paid leave for employees to provide volunteer services in our community per the Community Service Leave Policy.
All MidAmerica Nazarene University employees are paid on the fifteenth and the last day of each month.
